# Genesys Cloud user roles

We define two levels of privilege within Cobrowse, Administrator and Support agent, described in this article: [https://support.cobrowse.io/user-privileges](https://support.cobrowse.io/user-privileges?hsLang=en).

Within the Genesys Platforms, there are also user roles defined at the organization level. Below describes how Cobrowse roles interact with Genesys roles.

### Genesys Cloud

Users with the following roles within Genesys Cloud are automatically granted the Administrator role within Cobrowse:

- admin
- Master Admin
- Cobrowse.io - Admin

A user with these roles cannot be de-escalated within Cobrowse to the Support Agent role, since the Administrator permissions are inherited from Genesys Cloud.

This means that only assigning the role Cobrowse.io - Agent to a user who also has admin or Master Admin **will not **remove their Cobrowse.io - Admin privilege.
